Georgia Mitsi Partner, Business and Competitive Strategy

Georgia brings 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in a variety of roles ranging from scientific research to business development with a focus on digital health and new, innovative technologies. Georgia started her career in the life sciences with a PhD from the University of Patras and expanded her business acumen with an MBA from the University of Miami.

Prior to joining Y Innovations as a Partner in the Business and Competitive Strategy Department, Georgia was an early adopter and advocate for the use of artificial intelligence technologies in healthcare. She was the Founder and CEO of Apptomics, a successful digital healthcare company. Georgia also previously held executive leadership positions in Sunovion Pharmaceuticals as an Executive Director in the Frontier Business unit and at Biogen as their General Manager of Digital Mental Health Solutions and Virtual Reality.

Georgia is a true advocate for advancing knowledge in the scientific field and has been the keynote speaker in a variety of healthcare conferences such as HIMSS, CNS Summit, DHV-NET: Therapeutic use of VR, BioFuture-2021-2023, SXSW- 2021, and Health 2.0-Japan 2019, among many others. She has also been recognized by CenterWatch as a Top 20 innovator, was awarded the Outstanding Leadership Award at Health 2.0, and selected by PharmaVoice 100 in 2018 as one of the most influential people in healthcare.
