Martijn Fleuren CIO and General Partner

Martijn is the Chief Investment Officer and General Partner of Yung Ventures and a co-founder of the Y Innovations Studios. He has extensive experience building and growing companies as well as identifying high-growth opportunities and exits via private equity and M&A.

Martijn is also the Co-Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of HomeWorks Energy, the largest residential energy efficiency company in the US. HomeWorks has risen with its strong foundations through his leadership in scaling, achieving +70% CAGR over 11 years, and aggressive M&A positions. His expertise successfully managing various aspects of a company, including as CEO, COO, CIO, and interim CFO, allows him to provide a well-rounded operational focus to the companies he works with and invests in.

Martijn was appointed by the Commonwealth as a Councilor on the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources, Energy Efficiency Advisory Council. The council is charged with maximizing the economic and environmental benefits of energy efficiency on behalf of the Green Communities Act of 2008 and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This includes discussions on program objectives, design, budgets, and execution for the nation-leading Mass Save Program.
